custom fills in Corel

Post by mpedro » Tue Apr 29, 2008 1:11 pm

Anybody know of a tutorial on how to do custom fills in Corel X3.
As a example, I have a vector graphic of a flame design. I can fill it with one of the fills that Corel has in their fill tools, but I want to import a custom fill(wrap type fill from a CD)into Corel and then fill my flames with the imported fill. Does anybody know how to do that?

couple of ways, - powerclip being the most obvious

bring your fill into corel, select it then choose powerclip, - Effects -> powerclip - > place inside container -

this will give you a little arrow as your mouse, just choose what shape ( vector ) you want filled.

other way

using the Interactive fill tool -

select your vector, choose the interactive fill tool and choose from drop down
menu on tool bar - choose bitmap ( or whatever you need ) and right next to that click the fill icon -
new menu pops up - choose "Load" navigate to your file - .jpg, tiff, bmp etc.

Is this what you are looking for?

Hi all,

Just wondering if this will solve my fill problem also.
Today I was looking for way to do a gradient white fill on
clear vinyl using white as my only color leaving my substrate
to show through the vinyl.

If there are any other tricks to this please advise me.

Thanks in advance........Jodi :?
