Dust marks!

Post by WXSigns » Thu Nov 17, 2011 6:38 pm

I've had my DS4sx since 2008.

Summa tech support keeps telling me this media is not approved.

New roll of 30" Arlon 4560GTX Gloss.

Funny though, I used to live in Seattle and go and Will Call my ribbons. They have this film loaded on their Demo machines.

Printing an eps file that is black and chrome oval shape design out of Illustrator. Simple file. 1st one prints great. 2nd one dust marks where white speckles appear. 3rd image going across perfect.

This seems to happen a lot with this media.

I can load 7725 3M with the clear liner and it prints flawlessly.

However, I need the air release for this application.

Linefeed (1)test is done after roll was loaded.

Sticky pad sheet is new.

I've even cleaned all the ribbon holders and the machine several times.

Running 12800 with black and mirror silver at 300 Density.

I can adjust this up or down with the same results.

Any tips? Please tell me it's something I'm doing because this is supposed to be a great machine.

Thanks in advance!

Sometimes you get a bad roll.

it's happened many times to me even with Summa's 7725.

Try un-rolling a bit.
