Blurring edges of a curve

Post by LifeisGood » Thu Jun 16, 2011 5:07 pm

How do I blur the edges of a shape (curve) in Corel? I want to take an image and create a larger, white boundry around it that is faded into the background design, kind of like done in photos. I've tried the transparency feature, however, it only does it in the 6 or so styles availabe (radial, conical square, etc...) The problem with that is none of them fit the shape and it doesn't create the effect I want. I've even tried creating a boundry, copying it and applying a gradiant fill but I can't select a point and apply no color to it.

Any suggestions?
Whether you think you can or doubt you can, you're probably right.
