Summa Spot colors

Post by SO CAL » Wed Nov 17, 2010 4:35 am

I am having problems with Summa spot colors in Corel Draw X3, I some times create a file on one computer and transfer the file to another computer with a thumb drive. when i open the file in the other computer the colors have changed. Today Sunflower Yellow changed to green ( non-spot). other colors changed also. The program is installed from the same disk.

Another problem that i have is the spot color pallet, I can edit it and clean up the colors only to find that when i reboot I find the color pallet changed again, sometimes adding corel spot colors sometimes duplicating the Summa spot colors three or four times.
Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks for your help

yup it's a pain, what you can do....

delete the userinks.cpl and move the durachrome.cpl to that same folder ( you'll find that in summa printer tools/corel ) copy it to the clipboard...

open up corel, make sure you have your messed up pallete open right click and
choose "pallete" > "open"...paste your durachrome pallete there, delete the userinks or better move it somewhere safe. ( back it up )

open up the durachrome.cpl

you should be good to go. Hope it helps. If you have issues let me know.
