Latest big project

Post by LifeisGood » Mon Nov 02, 2009 9:09 am

Very similar to the other trailer that I did, just a little fancier. The job applying a 4' x 9' tile is getting easier with each one.

I'm going to spray DuPont Imron clear on this instead of laminating.

Nope, you didn't burst my bubble. The apostrophe has been upside down for 25 years; that's the was the designer drew it.

And on a side note... Caps lock, dude and lol?

Yea... CMY with the red portion of the ticket being spot. The Vinyl is the 3m premium and the work was done in Corel's x4.

Have you ever sprayed Imron on DC prints before. It is super shiney.
What did you charge for this job?

I don't do work for the public; everything I've done has been for our company. We bought the
machine because we were looking at a job that would've cost about 7-8k to do and figured that
was 1/3rd the cost of the machine. 4 jobs like that and the machine pays for itself. I've also
been able to do smaller stuff that took forever with my vinyl cutter.

The going rate in our industry is around $10 a square foot. That's broken down into $7 a printed
square and the design work on job is $300 to $1,000, depending on how complex it is.

I Imroned the job pictured below. I used the anti-graffiti laminate on the other trailer shown in
one of the earlier gallery posts and didn't like it that much, so I'm going back to spraying the clear.
