non-screened colors

Post by mpedro » Thu May 15, 2008 11:28 pm

Is there a list of link or color sample of all the colors that you can print with cmk that can produce no screened colors. I got the corel file from Summa with all the colors and the settings for each color(cmyk-chart.cdl) I used the colors settings they provided but the color still printed out with the little dots as colors. So is there a list of non dot based colors that we can print.

the list and it's a short one...

cyan,yellow,magenta, black,

red (100% yellow 100% magenta)
blue (100% cyan 100% magenta)
green (100% yellow 100% cyan)

better known as pure hues.

who's up for a pure hue design contest?

Pedro, Summa has a book with all the color combinations you can achieve by overprinting ribbons.
I believe I paid $30.00 for it. Although this should come free with the machine is well worth having it.
You have to ask for it as its not available at their website.
DC3 Plus, Summa D60, Roland PC600
Flexisign Pro 7.6, Photoshop C2, Corel 11
