DC5SX vs. Flexi

I bought a DC5SX last summer thinking after twenty years of cutting, it was time to print. I have the Flexi subscription and figured it would be plug and play. HAHAHAHAHAHA...it is not. I have used all the complimentary vinyl, plus a roll and a half, and now am out of the CMYK ribbon, without turning a profit. Tried exporting and importing to Color Control with nothing but failures. I've been dumbing down designs and pretty much printing vector images just trying to justify the purchase. As a noob, I know a lot is probably my fault, but I feel bad having no less than two hour conversations with Dan at AirMark. I looked for tutorials and found nothing. Dan steered me to here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
