printing at 90 degrees from design

my brain hurts tonight... I have my eps file, it is 3" tall, 18" wide... I export it, open it in color control, print it and I get 2.5 of my 15 decals printed vertically in the middle of the vinyl.. what's going on 
I then tried redoing the simple design, chrome on black printed on 651 white and now i'm getting
Error printing.
Error getting cut path
Printing failed.
I switched the colors the layers nothing...
