Summa DC3 question.

Post by Heavenfaced » Tue Dec 31, 2019 10:21 am

Hi I just bought a summa machine and I have a bit of a dumb question. Well I'm aware that this is more of a commercial machine, and I'm planning on running it out of a residential home.
But I got an amazing screaming deal on it that I just couldn't pass up.
But because of current living conditions that I personally rather not get into the only place I'm able to keep my craft room is upstairs.
as you can imagine I saw this as being a problem the minute I laid eyes on the machine because it is massive. I paid $1,200 for it and got at least that in just extra resin ribbons (at least 20+ extra ribbons) and vinyl. I couldn't walk away from it. And I've been dreaming about starting a business for some time.

So the big question here is can the DC-3 machine be safely separated from its stand to be taken up my steps and reassembled once in my craft room?

I am gonna say no. Not sure you would make it any easier either.

It's close to 700 lbs.
