I'm considering augmenting my Roland inkjet capability with a thermal printer, and while researching printers, I found a semi-local DC4sx with low mileage. I've found the answers to most of my question on this awesome forum, but a few remain:
What's the thickest media it can print?
For a 24" roll, what is the actual printable/cuttable width?
What is the largest yearly/regular maintenance item for this? By largest, I'm looking for either the most expensive or longest downtime.
How do I pull up the total run time on the printer in its menu? The current owner hasn't used the printer much personally, and is not familiar with it. It sounds like a former employee was the primary operator, which makes me wonder how little usage it actually has.
Thanks in advance for any info. I'll primarily be using it for reflective and window cling. I'm sure once I get a thermal in house, I'll have a ton of more uses. Thanks! Dan
