Printing 50 or 60% of SPOT Colors - Is it possible???

Post by cyberdine1 » Sun Jul 11, 2010 8:02 pm

Hi, have been struggiling with a nice carbon fiber vinyl as I not of the available in the market met my needs so I created my own.
The thing is that I have to print 90%, 80% and 40% Black.
Even so I have saved the file in eps from corel with the above values, when sent to color control it recgonizes the % black as process.
Is there a way to print % of a spot color from color control or any other software?
In advance I thank you for your imput.

In Color Control - use "monochrome"...and set the ribbon number. Defaults to 4 ( Black )

I do this all the time in corel using percentages of black. You can also do this with spots
and adjust the "tint"
