Re: Cassette obstruction...help anyone

Thanks for the reply. Not quite sure what you are saying about the head Do I take it apart?
Do you think there is some way to give the machine a hard reboot? ( or just "the boot, "as I am so mad)

The message on the LCD screen tells me there is an obstruction and pull the cassette to the back of the machine. Hard to do when there is nothing. PLEASE.... no...

Re: Cassette obstruction...help anyone

I have the same problem. it tells me to manually pull the cassette to the back to the back. I have to do this for every cassette in the machine. Then I get a ribbon take up error. Take up moved 1. Brake moved 3695, and again... move cassette to back of machine. Over and over again. Does anyone know ...

printing issues with Summa and Signlab

I was using Signlab 8 with my Summa DC4SX. All went fairly good untill recently. I try to print and get a "bbcleo.exe" error. What the heck is that? Signlabs support section says it only happens in SL 7.( I beleive). Definately not my version. Also, prior to this issue, the time before I tried to pr...

Even tough I still had about 1/4 of a roll left, I changed the ribbon and chip. Now the Summa will print one or 2 passes, and again it tells me to change...

Re: Chip going bad or bad sensor?

I had the same problem. Check ribbon or the IR chip. The ribbon (yellow) had at least 30% left,so I changed the chip. Worked fine. (Good thing I had an extra new roll and chip). A week later I got the same error with magenta. This time I was not so lucky. I had no new chip to install, so I tried an ...

Re: raster too wide on small print job

Thanks for the help guys. I finally found the solution to my problem, and would like to share it. Go to the website below. I needed step 4, as the spooling error was somewhere deep inside my computer. All is good now.

Re: CadLink and SignLab

I used to use Signlab 7 and recently upgraded to 8.0. So far it has been pretty good. I had an issue the other day, and found the support for Signlab sucked. If you do not purchase the yearly support program, good luck! It is a pay per use/issue thing. I find my best support here, on this forum. Tha...

Re: Third party resign ribbons in near future?

Any one hear of antything new concerning the ribbons.?
Will the refills even fit in the summa cartridges?
Even if we could get the ribbons, and use the old chip from the summa, would suit me fine. it would still save us a bundle.

signlab 7 density settings

Does anyone know how to adjust the density for each color separately, in Signlab, or is it one setting for all.
