Re: Metallic Blue & Red?

Yes, I'm told that Summa has them, but they are Mirror finish.

Part numbers and list pricing for the DC3 customer.
DC3-627 DC3 Mirror Red Ribbon - Indoor Use 350M Roll Refill -
DC3-628 DC3 Mirror Blue Ribbon - Indoor Use 350M Roll Refill -

Obviously, they have them for the DC4's, too.

Hello, I know some are interested in metallic foils for the summas, but what about metallic vinyl that you can print on? I was told that you can thermal print on this product and they have several metallic colors: https://www.vectorgraphics.com/comersus/store/comersus_listOneCategory.asp?idCategory=...

Re: Metallic Gold Available

I'm interested and I support the effort. I like the idea of a metallic finish and will commit to 3 each, if they can get it to work.

Hello,

In CorelDraw I would use the Shape Tool and then click on your photo and start adding anchor points where needed. Then "convert line to a curve" where needed and start bending the lines to get the desired curves. It is a little time consuming, but pretty easy.

Hope it helps...

Thanks Mark, that is about what I was thinking. The customer was thinking about $5 a square foot, including contour cut. I'm not interested in that as one screw up on a print and I'm losing money and time.

Thanks again,

I think that each print will be about 3' x 15' or 45 square feet per print. So, each order should consist of 4 prints. Then, there will be a new design about every 4 prints. Yes, CMK and simply print, cut-off and roll up. I'm done after that. He will mask and apply and he is very capable of doing th...

Spot colors are great for making solid colors with no dot pattern. CMYK ribbons are better for printing pictures or gradient fills, etc. For instance, if you were to print an American flag you would want a blue spot color and a red spot color. This way you would only use two ribbons to save money an...

APD73, The Edge is at home and I'll get all the details tonight. The foil is a 12 inch wide ribbon that you put in the machine and when you run the color, it rolls across a thermal printhead and it 'burns' the ribbon into the vinyl. Then the vinyl goes back to the home position and you open the lid ...

Just my two cents... I think most of the motorcross graphics are done with Convex materials. It forms around round services, such as helmets, very well. I'm told by Hyatt's that they have 39.5" wide Convex that they've used in their DC3 and it works great. I was suprised to hear that and many of you...
